Throwback Of The Day : Raphael Saadiq - Still Ray

I'm gonna try to throw one of these up on the blog daily. New addition to the Verb blog is my "Throwback of the Day". The first installment to this is Raphael Saadiq's "Still Ray". Off his first solo album, the 2002 release Instant Vintage, I believe this was his second single coming after the joint with D'Angelo. Sampling Dre's Still D.R.E. piano chords and adding a little brass, Saadiq's old school way of songwriting blends well with the overall vibe of the song. I used to love this joint right here.
